Hyderabad: The 84th edition of the All India Industrial Exhibition, popular among Hyderabadis as Numaish, will begin from January 1 with over 2,000 stalls likely to be set up for visitors.

Numaish will be held in Nampally Exhibition Grounds till February 15 and sellers from Kashmir, Jaipur, Delhi, Lucknow, Punjab, Rajasthan and other parts of India will set up stalls.

Compared to last year, significant upgrades have been made at the venue this year, an official said. Walkways have been improved to accommodate wheelchair users, women, and senior citizens. A new firefighting system has been installed.

The exhibition will be open from 4 pm to 10.30 pm on weekdays, and will be extended until 11 pm on weekends and public holidays.

Visitors can witness a wide range of handicrafts, handlooms and industrial products, showcasing India’s rich artistry and craftsmanship.
Registrations for the stalls have closed, and preparations are in full swing.
“All states in India are participating with their unique offerings such as Lucknowi and Ashimvi crafts. Right now, we are setting up stalls, and we are expecting to finish the setup by December 27-28,” said an official.
Organisers are prioritising visitors’ safety by installing fire safety protocols and keeping ambulances on standby. “We are giving special attention to safety and security to make sure no untoward incident occurs at the exhibition,” the official added.
Public amenities, including mobile toilets and help centres will be set up in the exhibition to ensure a comfortable experience.
