Philanthropist Raja Reddy No More
Nizamabad: Philanthropist and social activist G. Raja Reddy, popularly known as Pipes Raja Reddy died on Sunday due to age-related problems. His last rites were conducted at Ankapur village in Armoor mandal. Raja Reddy was born in Padakal village. After becoming an industrialist, he took up social services and set up Lalana Old Age Home at Ankapur and served the elderly people free of cost. He also extended financial aid to poor students to pursue higher education in India and abroad. By spending Rs 1 crore, he developed Zilla Parishad High School at Jakranpally, where he studied.
BRS MLAs Guntakandla Jagadish Reddy, V. Prashanth Reddy, noted academician G. Amruthalatha and others took part in the last rites of Raja Reddy.
