Hyderabad: A number of senior BJP leaders, including Union ministers, state unit office-bearers, MPs and others on Sunday watched Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme that was beamed live at community centres, function halls and other public places, on its resumption after a considerable gap due to the model of conduct that was in force.

The hugely popular programme is telecast and broadcast on All India Radio, DD National and DD News on the last Sunday of every month.

Union commerce minister Piyush Goyal watched the programme with party workers at Iskcon temple in Chandrayangutta, while his Cabinet colleague G. Kishan Reddy watched the programme at Lake View Banjara Garden function hall.

The party’s organisation in-charge Chandrasekhar Tiwari watched the programme at the state party office in Nampally along with office-bearers.

Thanking the voters of Telangana for electing eight BJP candidates in the recent general elections, Goyal said the NDA government would work for the state's development.

“I would like to assure you that the Modi government, in its historic third term, would always be ready for Telangana's development,” he told reporters.
