Rachakonda Cops Gear Up for Ganesha Immersion

Hyderabad: Rachakonda police commissioner G. Sudhir Babu inspected arrangements for the Lord Ganesha idol immersion at the Saroornagar lake on Monday. He directed officials to be alert regarding security and other arrangements until the conclusion of the festival.

Interacting with the media, the commissioner said, “All measures are being taken to ensure that the celebrations run smoothly.” He added that eight cranes would be set up for immersion and facilities like portable pools for immersion, supply of drinking water, lighting and barricades were being provided in collaboration with the GHMC.

He said 55 CCTVs cameras had been installed for the immersion day celebrations. A coordination meeting was held with the officials of all departments to ensure a hassle-free event.

The commissioner was accompanied by DCP Praveen Kumar and other officers, stated a press release.
