Raghu Vamsi Aerospace to Create 1,200 Jobs: Minister Sridhar Babu

Industries minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu laid the foundation stone for a manufacturing facility of Raghu Vamsi Aerospace. The ceremony was attended by Raghu Vamsi aerospace director Vamsi Vikas, DRDO Missiles and Strategic Systems director Rajababu, CII chairman Dr Sai Prasad, TGIIC MD Dr E. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, Telangana Aerospace and Defence director P.A. Praveen.

Hyderabad: Industries minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu laid the foundation stone for a manufacturing facility of Raghu Vamsi Aerospace, maker of critical aircraft engine components and defence products, at the Shamshabad Aerospace Park. The Rs 300-crore facility, spanning 2 lakh square feet, is expected to generate 1,200 direct jobs over the next three years.

Sridhar Babu said that the facility would fulfill Rs 2,000 crore worth of existing orders, further elevating Telangana’s stature as a global aerospace and defence hub. Raghu Vamsi Aerospace provides critical components for engines that power aircraft like the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 MAX. The company also partners with global aerospace giants such as GE Aerospace, Rolls-Royce, Pratt & Whitney, Safran, and Honeywell, supplying precision-engineered components essential for aviation innovation.

Sridhar Babu noted that Raghu Vamsi had started as a MSME in 2002 before becoming a global manufacturer of vital aviation parts, including fuel pumps and landing gear systems. He noted that the company has been instrumental in strengthening Telangana’s aerospace industry, a cornerstone of India’s defense manufacturing ecosystem.

Sridhar Babu commended the ecosystem of the Hyderabad Aerospace SEZ, which hosts leading companies like Tata, Bharat Forge, and Adani, engaged in producing aviation, defence, and space vehicles. He emphasized that over 1,500 MSMEs in the region play a pivotal role in supporting this ecosystem, providing employment to thousands of skilled workers.

Reaffirming the state government’s commitment to fostering industrial growth, the minister announced incentives under the newly launched MSME policy, encouraging the establishment of industries in Tier-2 and Tier-3 towns.

In addition to serving top-tier international clients, Raghu Vamsi also supports India’s strategic organizations, including DRDO, ISRO, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), and Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL). The company contributes to sectors like oil and gas and healthcare, showcasing its diversified manufacturing capabilities.
