Rahul Belittling India in US: Laxman
Hyderabad: BJP OBC Morcha national president and MP Dr K. Laxman charged that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was meeting anti-India forces in the US and he took strong objection to the Congress leader's comment that the BJP would abolish reservations at the opportune time.
Addressing the media on Wednesday, he said, “Rahul met American Congress member and Pakistan supporter Ilhan Omar. He is talking ill about the country, our democracy and criticising the nation on foreign soil. He is deriding the victory of the BJP in elections and belittling the people’s verdict. It was Nehru who opposed reservations for the backward communities. Ambedkar-who fought for their implementation constitutionally-was defeated by the Congress party in Lok Sabha elections.”
Laxman said it was the Congress party that opposed the Mandal Commission report and sought reservations based on financial status and not social status. “It was the Congress party that turned into a threat to the existence of Sikhs and their massacre happened under their watch. Looks like Rahul has not come out of the election hangover. He is denigrating the nation with his hatred towards Modi,” the MP commented.
