Raids on belt shops by task force in Hyderabad

Police raided belt shops in Kulsumpura, Chatrinaka, Musheerabad, and Kacheguda. They seized a total of 96.5 litres of liquor in 242 bottles worth Rs 1,12,000 from their possession.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police commissioner’s task force conducted a raid on belt shops across Hyderabad, and seized more than 96 litres of Indian-made foreign liquor.

Police raided belt shops in Kulsumpura, Chatrinaka, Musheerabad, and Kacheguda. They seized a total of 96.5 litres of liquor in 242 bottles worth Rs 1,12,000 from their possession.

Vineeth Singh, Kuradi Sachin, Durgam Chandrashekar, A. Ravi Kumar, Ratnala Raja Rao and two others were arrested by the police.

Upon inquiry by the officials, the accused revealed that they were purchasing liquor from local liquor shops and selling it for high prices during the night. Police said raids will be continued throughout the city, and issued a strict warning against people who are involved in illegal activities.
