Hyderabad: The Endowments Department will set up a digital museum about Lord Rama, focusing on all the places he is believed to have traversed in South India, endowments minister Konda Surekha said on Wednesday. The minister approved a proposal for the museum to be set up at Bhadrachalam during a review with senior department officials about plans for improving pilgrim facilities and ongoing works at Bhadrachalam, Yadadri and Keesara temples.

She directed officials to move ahead with plans to build a new link bridge to ease movement of traffic to and from the Yadadri temple, with the construction expected to be completed in three months.

Surekha said the proposed steel ‘link bridge’ will be the second longest such structure in the country and will ease the way for traffic which currently uses the existing flyover.

The minister also said the government will finalise the guidelines for VIP darshans soon at Yadadri, Keesara, and Bhadrachalam temples after discussing the issue with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. She also reviewed the progress on gold plating the Gopuram of the Yadadri sanctum sanctorum, and construction plans for a Veda Pathashala.
