WARANGAL: Officials of the endowment department in association with the temple authorities beautifully illuminated the Ramappa temple, a World Heritage Site, with Tri-colours at Palampet village of Venkatapuram mandal in Mulugu district on Wednesday.

The temple authorities are expecting a huge rush of tourists to have darshan of Sri Rudreshwara Swamy temple usually called Ramappa temple with a long weekend of five days starting from August 15 to August 19.

The photos and videos of the World Heritage Site went viral on social media as soon as posted by the authorities showing the temple lightening up beautifully in Tri-colours during the night turning into a magnificent spectacle.

It is to be noted here that the Ramappa temple was the first and the only monument in the two Telugu states which was recognized as a World Heritage Site under the Masterpiece of Human Creative Genius Criterion by UNESCO.

The central government by including the temple under the Pilgrimage Rejuvenation And Spiritual Augmentation Drive (PRASAD) Project allocated funds for the development of the temple with international standards which are going on at brisk pace.
