Hyderabad: Union Coal Minister G. Kishan Reddy on Monday said each Kendriya Vidyalaya (KVs) is truly a mini-India, vibrant and full of potential.

“Through our KVs, we’re not just providing education but nurturing a spirit of national integration that binds us all. These schools represent the beauty of India’s unity in diversity, where students from various linguistic and cultural backgrounds come together, forming bonds that last a lifetime,” he said.

He was delivering a keynote address after inaugurating national-level Rashtriya Ekta Parv celebrations at the KV in Tirumalagiri. KVs are more than educational institutions; they are communities that share knowledge, values, and opportunities for personal growth. The Minister underlined the enthusiasm and creativity of KV students to inspire all and showcase the incredible talent within the nation.

“Our rich, centuries-old civilization has positively impacted the globe, serving as a Vishwaguru - a guiding light - and a Vishwamitra -a friend to many. As part of Rashtriya Ekata Parv, we lovingly celebrate India’s rich cultural and linguistic diversity. Our greatest strength lies in our ability to come together despite our differences, cultivating respect and understanding among various communities, cultures, and traditions, which in turn promotes harmony in our society,” he explained.

The event is a heartfelt connection to the cultural diversity of India, aimed at nurturing the creative and artistic expressions of the beloved students. As envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it is everyone’s shared culture that unites, reminding that it is essential to cherish and embody these timeless values.

Sharing the vision for 2047, Reddy said, “We recognize the vital role our youth play in preserving and protecting this unique cultural heritage. The young students of today are not only the future but are also the torchbearers of India’s ongoing journey toward progress and prosperity.”

Throughout history, from the times of Adi Shankara to Sardar Patel, leaders have emerged in India, tirelessly working to uphold ideals and strengthen collective identity. “As our nation aspires to become a Vikasit Bharat - a developed India - our youth represents our greatest hope and asset. I am truly inspired by how young minds are contributing across all sectors of our society,” Reddy explained.

The Minister reiterated that the government, under the inspiring leadership of Modi, is dedicated to empowering the youth to realize their dreams. The National Education Policy is thoughtfully designed to help every student achieve their true potential, emphasizing learning experiences that include sports, arts, values, and cultural awareness -equipping the next generation for greater aspirations.

These initiatives are geared towards cultivating critical thinking and encouraging play-based learning in various creative pursuits. “By fostering their skills, we aim to guide our children to become compassionate leaders of the 21st century. This is a new India, one that is self-reliant and ready to take its place on the global stage,” the Union Minister said.

“Through these efforts, we are working tirelessly to strengthen our youth, preparing them for their important roles in building the self-reliant India we all dream of. Today, India stands strong across various sectors, from agriculture to defence, innovation, and healthcare. I genuinely believe that our youth embody the spirit and future of this nation,” Reddy said.

“As we look ahead, the youth are crucial in fulfilling India’s developmental goals and embodying the vision set forth by our Prime Minister. I hope to see them as tomorrow’s leaders, passionate about their chosen paths. No matter where life takes you, I encourage you to aim high and contribute to your country’s growth and flourishing,” he said. He urged all students to embrace the journey ahead. Today marks a significant moment as India strives to become a powerful nation.
