R&B staff face minister Komatireddy’s ire in sudden check

Hyderabad: Roads and buildings minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, conducted an unannounced inspection at the R&B department in the Secretariat on Wednesday morning. The surprise visit began at 10 am and lasted until 11.30 am, during which the minister talked to departmental employees and staff.

Minister Venkat Reddy noted that 50 per cent of the employees were absent during the inspection and expressed disappointment,. He told the staff that many people travel long distances to the Secretariat in the hope of resolving their issues.

"Lakhs of people face challenges daily, seeking solutions from ministers and Chief Ministers. It is essential for us all to collaborate effectively to address these issues promptly," remarked Venkat Reddy during his interaction with staff.

Stressing the pivotal role of employees in the government's success, the minister underscored, "No government can thrive without the dedicated efforts of its employees. The development of Telangana hinges on our collective commitment to public service."

Venkat Reddy also conveyed appreciation to employees who were present and punctual, affirming the Congress government's commitment to supporting and engaging with its workforce.
