Refrain From Making Statements: MAA President Vishnu Manchu to Members
Hyderabad: Movie Artiste Association (MAA) here on Tuesday asked members to maintain restraint, empathy, and unity within the association in the wake of recent development after the stampede in Sandhya 70 MM theatre on December 4.
In a statement, MAA president, Vishnu Manchu said, “As actors, we have always maintained a close and cordial relationship with every government and public representative. Our industry thrives on collaboration and creativity.”
“It is important to remember that we owe much of our success to the support of various governments over time. The film industry’s foundation in Hyderabad, for instance, was strengthened by the encouragement given by the then Congress government under Chief Minister Marri Channa Reddy. Every government has been kind to our industry, and this tradition of mutual respect continues to this day,” he said.
“In light of recent developments, I urge all members to refrain from making public statements or taking sides on sensitive matters. Some issues are personal, while others are tragic, and it is best to let the law take its course. Any comments made out of turn can unintentionally cause harm rather than help the parties involved. This is a time for restraint, empathy, and unity within our association,” he said.
“As we approach the festive season, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Let us remember that we are one big family—the Telugu Movie Artiste Association—and together, we will navigate through any challenges,” he added.
