Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy felicitated two circle inspectors Saravaiah and Devender for providing succor to as many as 5,300 passengers at the Mahabubabad railway station.

Railway tracks at Kesamudram were washed away in the flood waters following which passengers got stranded at the Mahabubabad railway station. As the railway tracks got washed away, several trains were cancelled on the route due to which passengers faced many hardship.

On learning about the plight of the passengers, the two CIs provided food and drinking water to the stranded passengers at the railway station and even shifted them to Kazipet.

Minister Ponguleti Srinivas also appreciated the police inspectors for providing timely help to the flood affected.
