TG: CM participates in Alai Balai in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy participated in Alai Balai programme in Hyderabad on Sunday. He took part in the programme, organised by Bandaru Dattatreya for the last 19 years during the Dasara festival.

This programme is organised irrespective of political affiliation. Dattatreya has been putting in efforts to revive the dying Telangana culture and traditions through Alai Balai.

Alai Balai programme inspired the formation of political JAC when the creation of separate Telangana was delayed and also to propagate the importance of the preservation of Telangana culture.

Dasara is a major festival in Telangana. The CM hoped that Dattatreya's daughter Bandaru Vijayalakshmi will continue to the carry forward the tradition of organizing Alai Balai.

He also said that he had asked the leaders of all parties to take part in Alai Balai and preserve Telangana culture.

Leaders of various political parties participated in the Alai Balai sending a message that 'we are all one."
