Revanth Reddy to Unveil AI City Project at Global Summit

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is scheduled to launch the 200-acre Artificial Intelligence (AI) City in the proposed Fourth City, while inaugurating the two-day Global Artificial Intelligence Summit which begins on Thursday.

The Global AI Summit marks a significant milestone in India's journey to becoming a global AI hub and reinforces Hyderabad’s position as a leading player. The summit, held at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre, will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister and IT minister D. Sridhar Babu.

With a focus on the theme "Making AI Work for Everyone," the summit is expected to draw around 2,500 delegates, including prominent AI experts from around the world. This gathering aims to explore the transformative potential of AI, address critical issues related to its integration, and discuss the future of AI-driven innovation.

Notable speakers include Sal Khan of Khan Academy, Daniela Combe from IBM and Peter Diamandis of the XPRIZE Foundation. The summit will feature discussions on the societal impact of AI, regulation and the ethical challenges it presents. In addition to panel discussions with high-profile leaders, the summit will have interactive sessions, startup demos and presentations of innovative projects currently under development.

The government, keen to highlight the state’s growth in the IT and AI sectors, is using the summit to showcase Hyderabad as a top destination for global investments. During a recent visit to the United States, the CM emphasised Telangana’s ambition to become a global hub for AI. At the summit, he will release a detailed roadmap for the promotion of AI in the state, outlining the government’s vision and strategic plans.

The summit, which will host 25 special programs dedicated to AI development, is expected to set the stage for significant advancements in the sector and reinforce Hyderabad’s position as a leading player in the global AI landscape.
