Revanth Sums Up His Tenure As PCC Chief in Three Words: Joy, Gratitude and Pride
Hyderabad: Chief Minister and outgoing TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy expressed joy, gratitude, and pride as he prepared to pass the baton of leadership to party colleague Mahesh Kumar Goud who will now head the state party Unit. In a heartfelt message shared on X on Friday, Revanth Reddy reflected on his three-year tenure, highlighting key moments and accomplishments.
"Since the day I took charge as TPCC president on 7th July 2021, I have felt blessed that my leader Smt Sonia Gandhi ji reposed complete faith in me to be able to deliver a turnaround," Revanth Reddy stated, expressing his deep appreciation for the trust placed in him by the Congress leadership.
One of the most cherished memories of his term, Revanth Reddy noted, was organising and participating in the Telangana leg of the Bharat Jodo Yatra. He credited this nationwide march, led by Rahul Gandhi, with transforming the mood of the country, “removing the aura of darkness and bringing love and hope to every Indian.”
Revanth Reddy highlighted the success of the party's digital membership drive under challenging circumstances, which he said helped to strengthen and revitalise the party.
He acknowledged the guidance of AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge as he prepared the party for the November 30 state elections and the historic Congress Vijayabheri Sabha at Tukkuguda, where Sonia Gandhi addressed one of the largest election rallies in the state’s history.
"We were able to totally expose all the lies, fabrications, failures of the BRS government and wreck the misplaced perception of their strength & could bring the Congress to power in Telangana," Revanth Reddy said, stressing the effectiveness of the party’s campaign against the then BRS government.
He expressed his gratitude to AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi for her unwavering support and thanked other key Congress leaders, including K.C. Venugopal, Manickam Tagore, Manikrao Thakre, and Deepa Dasmunsi, for their collaboration during his tenure.
As he stepped down, Revanth Reddy called on party members and the people of Telangana to continue supporting the Congress and the new leadership. "I look forward to your continued support for the party & the government so that we are able to accomplish the onerous task of delivering all promises and making our state the greatest in the country," he said.
