Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will perform Bhumi Puja for the construction of Telangana Talli statue in the Secretariat at 11 am on Wednesday, said Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Tuesday. The event marks the commencement of preparations for the unveiling of the statue, the symbol of the state's cultural and historical identity.

The unveiling of the Telangana Talli statue is planned for the same location where Revanth Reddy had previously finalised its installation within the Secretariat. This statue is seen as a tribute to the people and heritage of Telangana.

The Chief Minister has also announced that the statue will be officially unveiled on December 9. The date holds special significance as it coincides with the birthday of former Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, who played a pivotal role as the UPA chairperson in the formation of Telangana state.

Apart from the Chief Minister, the Bhumi Puja ceremony will be attended by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, along with several other dignitaries including ministers, members of parliament, members of the Legislative Assembly, and members of the Legislative Council.
