Revanth to take part in Congress CMs’ JPC
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will leave for Mumbai on Saturday to take part in a joint press conference being held by Chief Ministers of Congress-ruled states to rebut the BJP's allegations that the party-run governments in Telangana, Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh had failed to deliver on guarantees promised during their respective Assembly polls.
The BJP charge has been led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Revanth Reddy will address the press conference along with Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu of Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar following a high command directive, sources added.
Revanth Reddy wants to specifically highlight Congress government in Telangana implementing India's biggest-ever crop loan waiver scheme of `18,000 crore within eight months of coming to power to waive crop loans of 23 lakh farmers. This was done over a period of 25 days.
He will highlight the government implementing the Mahalakshmi free bus scheme for women and `10 lakh health insurance cover under Aarogyasri within 48 hours of being sworn in. The government then implemented two more guarantees of free power to households up to 200 units and subsidised cylinders for `500.
