RPF rescues 48 people as part of operation dignity initiative

Hyderabad: Secunderabad Division Railway Protection Force (RPF) has achieved a significant milestone by successfully rescuing 48 individuals under Operation Dignity in 2024. On Monday, a person aged about 43 years was rescued at Bhongir Railway Station while attempting to commit suicide. After counseling, he was reunited with his relatives.

Under Operation Dignity, the RPF rescued 104 people, including 71 women in 2023, who were in dire need of care and protection. It rescued 48 people including 31 women in 2024. Debashmita Chattopadhyay Banerjee, who is Senior Divisional Security Commissioner, RPF Secunderabad, applauded the prompt response of RPF and stated that “Operation Dignity represents more than just a rescue operation. It embodies our core values of compassion, vigilance, and service.”

She said the RPF personnel work diligently to identify and assist individuals who find themselves in vulnerable situations, providing them with the necessary care, support, and protection. The success of Operation Dignity is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the entire team.

“Each rescue operation reflects the commitment of our personnel to making a positive impact on the lives of those they help. Their efforts not only address immediate needs but also offer hope and support to individuals in distress,” she added.
