Sangareddy to get 500-bed hospital soon: Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha

Hyderabad: Health minister Damodar Rajanarsimha announced the construction of a 500-bed hospital in Sangareddy, during his surprise inspection of the government general hospital there on Thursday. He highlighted the government’s commitment to providing quality free healthcare to all, especially the underprivileged.

During his visit, the minister inspected the outpatient ward and observed the patient flow and the condition of the facilities. He was unhappy with the hygiene in the hospital and directed the superintendent to implement rigorous sanitation measures. The minister also inspected the Telangana Diagnostics unit, the pharmacy and the dialysis centre.

Additionally, Rajanarsimha held a meeting with the faculty and medical students of the Government Medical College. He advised them to work collaboratively with patients and uphold the integrity of the medical profession.

The minister directed officials to keep the hospital surroundings clean and ordered that private hospitals adhere to medical laws. He spoke about the importance of making medical equipment available in the district hospital.

Rajanarsimha encouraged the public to utilise government healthcare facilities, highlighting the availability of experienced doctors. He directed officials to increase the number of dialysis beds and ensure all necessary facilities for patients. Additionally, he ordered the swift completion of construction work within the hospital premises.
