SCR Bags Railway Week Awards for Civil Engineering and Construction

The awards were presented by railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw at the ceremony where over 101 employees from various zones were recognised for their contributions.

Hyderabad: South Central Railway (SCR) has secured two all-India performance efficiency shields at the 69th Railway Week Awards function held on December 21at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The shields were awarded in the categories of civil engineering which was shared with Central and East Central Railways, and construction, shared with Western and Southern Railways.

The awards were presented by railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw at the ceremony where over 101 employees from various zones were recognised for their contributions.

SCR general manager Arun Kumar Jain accepted the shields along with department heads, including Satya Prakash, chief administrative officer (construction), and P.S. Brahmanandam, principal chief engineer (SCR).

Six SCR officials and staff were honoured with the Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar: Javvadi Venkata Anoosha, senior divisional engineer, Guntur; Rambabu Vavilapalli, senior divisional commercial manager, Vijayawada; Sumit Sharma, Principal of the Zonal Railway Training Institute, Moula Ali; Anthony Dorai Raj, chief commercial inspector, headquarters; P. Adinarayana, senior section engineer (P-Way), Guntur; and Kamarapu Vinod, senior section engineer, OHE, Kazipet.
