Security Tightened for Group-I Prelims Test Today

HYDERABAD: Arrangements have been completed for the smooth and effective conduct of Preliminary Test for Group-1 services on Sunday. The exams will start at 10.30 am and end at 1 pm.

Candidates will be allowed to enter examination centres from 9 am and the gates will be closed at 10 am.

A total of 4.03 lakh candidates will take the exam from 897 centres across 31 districts. The Telangana Public Service Commission has taken measures to implement candidate specific OMR sheets.

Trained invigilators will capture biometric attendance of candidates. CCTV cameras have been installed at all strong rooms and examination centres. The police have made elaborate security arrangements for smooth conduct of the examinations. Section 144 have been imposed at all exam centres to prevent crowding.

Business establishments, shops, photocopy points and internet cafés near exam centres will be closed on Sunday, police said.

Candidates must bring one color photograph, original Aadhaar card, driving licence, employee identity card or voter identity card along with the hall ticket. If the photograph does not appear correctly in the hall ticket, three colour photographs should be taken, and the hall ticket should be signed by a gazetted officer.

Nalgonda SP Chandana Deepti said a total of 16,899 candidates would appear for the exams at 47 centres in the district. No meetings, processions, rallies will be held in the vicinity of exam centers and no one will be allowed to roam around the centres.

In Vikarabad district, superintendent of police N. Koti Reddy said there were 13 centres in the district and 5,468 candidates would appear for the exam. In Nagarkurnool district, there are 18 centres and 5,221 candidates would appear for the exam.
