Singareni staff donates Rs 10.25 cr to CMRF
Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka handed over a cheque of Rs 10.25 crore, a contribution of Singareni employees towards the flood relief, to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday. The employees of Singareni Collieries have contributed their one-day basic salary to the Chief Minister Relief Fund (CMRF) for flood relief efforts in the state.
Besides the Dy CM, energy secretary Ronald Ross, Singareni CMD N. Balaram and the leaders of recognised trade unions, including V. Seetaramaiah, Janak Prasad and Laxmipathi Goud, met Chief Minister at the Secretariat and handed over the cheque. Revanth Reddy and Bhatti Vikramarka congratulated the Singareni staff for helping the flood victims.
Speaking on this occasion, the Singareni employees said they have been assisting the state governments in times of natural calamities, and similar contributions were made to the Odisha and Andhra Pradesh governments in the past.
