Situation in Mulugu is under control: Seethakka

WARANGAL: In view of ongoing rains, people must take necessary steps to protect themselves from adverse environment conditions along with moving to safer places, said panchayat raj minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka.

The minister inspected the water flow in Gundla wagu, Jamppanna wagu in Govindaraopet mandal, Mondyala wagu, Jalagalancha wagu in Thadvai mandal here in Mulugu district on Sunday. The minister was accompanied by district collector Diwakar and superintendent of police Shabarish.
Seethakka said heavy rains with gusty winds uprooted 200 trees on either sides of the road between Medaram and Thadvai causing interruption to vehicular movement.

In view of past experiences, meetings were conducted with the officials of various departments along with forming flood monitoring committee in all mandals with tahsildar, sub-inspector of police, MPDO and other officials.

At present, the situation in the district is under control, but people living in remote and flood-affected areas should move to safer places, she added.
