Speed Up Gachibowli Flyover Works: Commissioner Ilambarithi

Hyderabad: Commissioner of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) K. Ilambarithi reviewed the construction work of the second-level flyover from Gachibowli to Kondapur at Shilpa Layout on Monday.

During the inspection, the commissioner instructed officials to speed up the land acquisition process for the service road. He also addressed concerns regarding a part of a government school building being affected by the acquisition and asked the zonal commissioner to ensure no disruption to students. He suggested building new school facilities through the corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative. To improve safety for students crossing the road, he directed officials to prepare proposals for a foot-over bridge.

The commissioner emphasised the need to complete the flyover works on time, with the works expected to be completed by March 2025. He assured that GHMC was following state government guidelines to develop the city’s infrastructure and improve services for residents.

The inspection was attended by project CE Devanand, Serilingampally zonal commissioner Upender Reddy, SE Shankar Naik, DC Mukunda Reddy, EE Harish Naik and health officer Rajani Kanth Reddy, among others.
