Sridhar Babu Refutes Claims of Arekapudi Gandhi Defecting to Congress

Hyderabad: Minister D. Sridhar Babu said that Serilingampally legislator Arekapudi Gandhi had come to the venue of the Congress Legislature Party to pay a courtesy visit to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, as the event was being held in his constituency.

He was reacting to BRS senior leader T. Harish Rao statement said that Gandhi attending the CLP meeting proved that the Congress had lied on the defectors joining it. He tagged legislative affairs minister D. Sridhar Babu in his post on X. The row is centred on the BRS claiming that Gandhi was part of the Congress and should not head the public affairs committee as the post is traditionally given to the Opposition.
