HYDRAA Corruption: CM Revanth Demands Action
The CM asked the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Vigilance and Enforcement (V&E) Wing officials to focus on officials indulging in extortion.
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday took a serious note of complaints that a few lower-rung officials were found to be engaging in corrupt activities using the name of HYDRAA to threaten people demanding money from them.
Responding to a series of such complaints that came to his notice, Revanth Reddy said some officials in the Revenue, Municipal, and Irrigation departments were demanding money citing old notices and complaints given two to three years ago.
He said stringent action would be taken against errant officials if they were found to be demanding money from people in the name of HYDRAA. He asked the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) and Vigilance and Enforcement (V&E) Wing officials to focus on officials indulging in extortion.
