Hyderabad: The Supreme Court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing in the phone tapping case involving additional SP Tirupatanna until January 2.

Tirupatanna, who is seeking bail, had approached the court after being implicated in the alleged illegal surveillance of several individuals.
The state government has opposed Tirupatanna's bail plea, filing a counter-affidavit detailing its objections.
During the hearing, Tirupatanna's legal team requested a postponement, citing technical difficulties. However, lawyers representing the state government argued for a deferral until after the Christmas holidays.
The Supreme Court bench, comprising Justice B.V. Nagaratna and Justice Koteshwar Singh, ultimately decided to adjourn the hearing to January 2 next year.
