Suryapet: Toddy Tapper Hangs Himself to Death

Suryapet: A toddy tapper died by suicide in Mukundapuram, Suryapet district, while another person was severely injured during an attempt to recover the body. The incident has gained attention after a video of the event circulated on social media.
According to locals, a 75-year-old Deshagani Venkatesam died by suicide, hanging from a palm tree. Passersby noticed the body and alerted villagers. Several young men volunteered to retrieve the deceased's body. Tragically, during this attempt, one youth, identified as Venkatesh, fell from the tree and sustained serious injuries. Venkatesh was immediately transported to a private hospital for treatment. Medical staff report that his condition is now stable.
