Hyderabad: One person died, while three others were injured after the driver of a car they were traveling in rammed into a tree near Kolthur village in the Genome Valley police station area at 4.10 am on Wednesday.

According to Genome Valley inspector T. Yaddaiyya Goud, the deceased has been identified as - Farhan Ahmed Ansari, 23, and the injured as Shaker, Rizwan and Abdullah. All four were friends and were travelling towards Konda Pochamma from Hyderabad.

The car, allegedly being driven in a rash and negligent manner, rammed into a tree next to a road in Kolthur village. Ansari died on the spot and the driver - Shaker - suffered a fracture. The two others present in the car were seriously injured and shifted to a hospital in the city.

Ansari’s body was shifted to the mortuary for postmortem. A case was registered.
