Telangana: 7-yr-old Molested by Juvenile

Hyderabad: A seven-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and raped by a juvenile on Wednesday in Ramachandrapuram. Police arrested the accused and sent him to a juvenile home, said Ramachandrapuram inspector G. Jagannath. He said that the juvenile and the minor were from the same locality.

On September 16, in the absence of the parents of the victim, the juvenile, around noon, lured the victim into his home. He then raped her.

The girl was studying in Class III at a government school near her place. On her parent’s return late in the evening, the minor informed them about the incident and they complained to the police on the same night. While the father is a labourer her mother is a domestic help.

Police registered a case under relevant sections of the Pocso Act. Abduction charges were also applied.
