Telangana: Clear Pending Dharani Applications by Month End, Says Komatireddy

 Nalgonda: Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Monday directed officials to clear all pending applications of Dharani by the end of September.

He conducted a surprise visit to the tahsildar office of Nalgonda and inquired from the officials about the status of the pending applications of Dharani.

He said out of 27,000 pending applications of Dharani in the district, 23,000 had been cleared after the Congress.

He directed the officials to clear all pending Dharani applications barring those facing court cases and critical issues by the end of September. He will again visit the Tahsildar office on October 3 and review the status of the pending applications.

He reminded that irregularities have taken place in Dharanai during BRS government. The state government would soon launch Bhoomatha in place of Dharani to ensure transparency and easiness in land transaction.

Reminding that the population of Nalgonda town has crossed two lakhs and some villages from Kanagal and Thipparthi mandal were merged in Nalgonda mandal increasing the work burden on Nalgonda Tahsildar office. He assured people to bring the matter to the notice of Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy for sanction of Nalgonda urban mandal. He announced `20 lakh from his constituency development fund for modernisation of Nalgonda Tahsildar office.

He also distributed cheques of Kalyana Lakshmi scheme to the beneficiaries on the occasion. In-charge revenue divisional officer K. Sridevi, tahsildar of Nalgonda P. Srinivas and Nalgonda municipal chairman Burri Srinivas Reddy were present on the occasion.
