Hyderabad: BJP Legislature Party leader Alleti Maheshwar Reddy said the BRS looted the state in the name of Kaleshwaram, Mission Kakatiya and Mission Bhagiratha but the probe against them has not progressed. He further asked if there was any progress in the phone-tapping case and others.

Addressing the media at the party headquarters in Hyderabad he said, “Is the CM celebrating his failure to deliver on the promises made? The CM has become synonymous with thousands of crores of corruption in the name of Fourth City and Musi beautification. Only the CM and his ministerial colleagues have benefitted in the last 11 months. If he has guts he should come out and celebrate among the people.”

Opposition MLAs are being taken into the Congress by violating anti-defection laws. The attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy is reflective of his attempts to cover his failures and subservience to Sonia Gandhi and mirrors the tenacious nature of his CM post, he said.

On Prime Minister’s comments on Telangana formation, the BJP leader said that he had only expressed the opinion that the UPA should have been more thoughtful while dividing the state. How can the government which has failed to honour guarantees given to youth, farmers, women and unemployed celebrate its anniversary?

Is the government celebrating its taking a debt of Rs 75,000 crore in the last 11 months or creating fear in the minds of people by demolishing homes in the name of protection of lakes? Are you celebrating the hiked estimate of Rs 1.5 lakh to fill the pockets of your favoured contractors? he asked.
