Telangana: Congress lashes out at BRS for politicising job calendar
Hyderabad: The Congress lashed out at the BRS for holding a protest in the Legislative Assembly against the job calendar issued by the Revanth Reddy government on Friday. Congress MLC Dr Venkat Balmoor and party leaders Chanagani Dayakar and Dr Riyaz alleged that the BRS was politicising the job calendar and trying to provoke students.
In a press meet held at Gandhi Bhavan on Saturday, Dr Balmoor said the Congress was committed to fulfilling the promises made to the youths and the unemployed. He criticised the previous BRS government for failing to fill government posts.
He said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka had announced a comprehensive job calendar, modelled after the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) schedule.
Dayakar said the job calendar was modelled after similar initiatives in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. He questioned why the BRS leaders had failed to release a job calendar earlier. He pointed out that the Congress government filled 30,000 jobs in just seven months. He dared BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao to come for a public debate on the Congress government’s job calendar and the BRS government’s question paper leaks.
Dr Riyaz said that the state Public Service Commission would soon announce vacancy details, ensuring transparency in the hiring process. He criticised the BJP and BRS leaders for betraying the unemployed.
