Telangana Employees JAC Calls for Talks with CM Revanth Reddy
Hyderabad: The Joint Action Committee of Telangana Employees, Gazetted officers, Teachers, Workers and Pensioners consisting of 205 constituent organisations on Monday laid out a charter of demands to the government. The JAC resolved to hold meetings in all the district headquarters over the next 15 days.
The meeting expressed the hope that MLC Prof. M. Kodandaram, who was felicitated on the occasion, would act as a bridge between them and the government. They asked Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to hold talks with the JAC and resolve the problems of employees.
The JAC sought payment of the four DAs (dearness allowance) instalments pending since July 1, 2022, and matching the latest DA hike announced by the Centre. They sought payment of other bills pending since 2022 and abolition of the e-Kuber system and revive the old payment method from the treasury department.
As the consultation and discussions process with the employees unions had been completed, the government should release the second Pay Revision Commission and pay 51 per cent fitment, the JAC said.
The EHS should be implemented with equal contribution of the beneficiaries, government employees and pensioners, the JAC said and sought revival of the Old Pension Scheme. Employees affected by GO 317 should be transferred without asking about vacancies and their complaints should be resolved online.
