Telangana: Government Bats for Development of Adivasis in State

Warangal: Officials of various departments must show commitment for the development of Adivasis who mainly survive on forests, said Governor Jishnu Dev Varma.

Panchayat raj minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka, Bhadrachalam MLA Thellam Venkatrao and district collector Diwakar along with superintendent of police Shabarish gave a warm welcome to the Governor who visited Mulugu district on Tuesday.

After prayers at Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Yadadri, the Governor held a meeting with the officials of various departments during which officials briefed him about various development measures taking place in the district.

The Governor said he chose the scheduled tribe (ST)-majority district and was happy to see that the state government strove hard for the development of the downtrodden.

The Governor praised minister Seethakka for taking initiatives to establish a container hospital in the remote agency area for the sake of Adivasis.

Later, he interacted with writers, poets, artists and prominent personalities of various fields.

After offering prayers at Sri Rudreshwara Swamy temple (Ramappa temple) the Governor observed the sculptures of the temple built with sand box technology along with bricks that float in water.

Appreciating the marvellous sculpture of the temple, the Governor said he is happy to visit the wonderful Ramappa temple which was recognized as a world heritage site by the UNESCO.
