Telangana Govt Follows Brahmakumaris’ Ideals, Says Revanth

Hyderabad: Underlining the service of Brahmakumaris for the people, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Sunday said that the government was moving forward in the path of Brahmakumaris by introducing several reforms and welfare schemes for the people.

Speaking at the 20th-anniversary celebrations of Shanti Sarovar of Brahmakumaris at Gachibowli on Sunday, the Chief Minister said: "We have formed a narcotics team to eliminate drugs so that people fear the word drugs. We are trying to make Telangana a drug-free state in the near future by cracking the whip on drug peddling activity.”

“This government is a people's government and gives top priority for agriculture and farmers. We have proved that we are a farmer's government by waiving farmers' loans. Ours is the only government in the country which has waived off Rs 31,000 crores of farmers' loans in eight months," Revanth Reddy said.

The Chief Minister further stated that the government had started a Skill University to provide skills to the youth. Developing Future City in Mucherla and skill university will be coming in Hyderabad. He also promised that the lease period for Shanti Sarovar will be revised.

The Chief Minister also participated in the NMDC Hyderabad Marathon 2024 and distributed prizes to winners at a programme held at the Gachibowli Stadium on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Hyderabad, which should stand as an example in sports, could not reach that level due to the negligence of the previous government.

"Our government is taking one step forward to promote sports. We are trying to direct the youth of Telangana towards sports. We promise that we will bring the former glory to the sports by making Gachibowli a sports village," the Chief Minister said.

Revanth Reddy said that they are going to start Young India Sports University in Telangana in the next academic year with the aim of the Olympics. The government would bring international-level coaches and provide training for sports. We have told the Union minister that we will prepare our stadiums with international standards so that the Olympics can be held in Hyderabad.
