Telangana Govt hikes diet, cosmetic charges in welfare hostels

The state government has enhanced diet and cosmetic charges in social welfare hostels.
Hyderabad: The state government has raised diet and cosmetic charges in all social welfare hostels. Diet charges for students from classes 3 to 7 have been increased from Rs 950 to Rs 1,330 per boarder, and for classes 8 to 10, from Rs 1,100 to Rs 1,540. For students from Intermediate to postgraduate levels, diet charges have been raised from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,100 per boarder.
Cosmetic charges for girl students in classes 3 to 7 have been increased from Rs 55 to Rs 175, while for girl students in classes 8 to 10, the charges have been raised from Rs 75 to Rs 275 per boarder. For boys in classes 3 to 7, the charges have been increased from Rs 62 to Rs 150, while for boys in classes 8 to 10 and above 11 years, the charges have been enhanced from Rs 62 to Rs 200 per boarder.
