Telangana: Hash Oil Worth Rs. 21 Lakh Seized from Peddlers

Hyderabad: The Rachakonda police in a recent case seized 2.8 kg of hash oil, valued at Rs.21 lakh, from a gang of peddlers. Police said it takes about 40 kg of ganja to produce one kg of hash oil.

According to the Rachakonda police commissioner G. Sudheer Babu, four persons were arrested: Vutala Ranjith Kumar, Bollam Sai Nithin, Bachu Narendra, Boinpally Sai Krishna. Police are on the look-out for Sai, the supplier.

Ranjith was previously apprehended by the SR Nagar Excise police in February, while returning from Vishakapatnam with a consignment of drugs to sell in the city.

In his latest attempt, Ranjith along with his neighbours, the students Nithin and Narendra, went to Vishakapatnam in a rented self-drive car. They purchased 2,700 grams hash oil, returned to the city and stocked at the house of Sai Krishna, a peddler. They also purchased small plastic boxes to transfer the oil from the main container to small boxes weighing five grams. They were arrested based on a tip-off.
