Telangana HC Raps GHMC for Providing Vague Documents
Hyderabad:The Telangana High Court on Tuesday faulted the irrigation department and the GHMC for furnishing vague documents related to Memoir of Hussainsagar, which did not mention its full tank level (FTL).
The court directed the authorities to submit a report along with the documents which should show the FTL of Hussainsagar.
Justice Tadakamalla Vinod Kumar was dealing with a petition filed by Birander Sharanappa Swamy and others, complaining that the GHMC was not allowing them to erect the blue sheets or fencing in their land, on the ground that the land fell in the Hussainsagar FTL.
On an earlier occasion, the court had directed the authorities to furnish the 1970s ‘Memoir of Hussainsagar’, which would show the water area and FTL of the lake.
Following the directions, on Tuesday authorities have placed the memoir of the lake. The court found that there was no clarity and differences with the FTL. Hence, the court directed the authorities to file a counter explaining the actual FTL of the lake.
