Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao said he would undertake a padayatra. There were many requests from BRS workers that he go on a padayatra, he said but did not give a date, during an ‘Ask KTR’ session on social media platform X on Diwali.

He said leaders of various parties across the country had undertaken padayatras to expose the failures of the governments and the ruling parties, and the same would be done in Telangana by the BRS.

Rama Rao said party president and former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was in good health, was providing directions to party leaders, and was expected to get more active from next year. As a responsible leader, Chandrashekar Rao believed that the government needed time to implement its “420 promises,” Rama Rao said.

During the exchanges with people posting questions, Rama Rao said the Congress government had “turned into a curse” for Telangana, and “the destruction it is causing to the state will be very hard to recover from.”

“Our job is to fight on behalf of the people and the BRS, as the principal opposition party, is doing that. He said dragging families into political fights was reprehensible and it was hard to understand why this is happening in the state.
