Telangana: Man killed after attack by psycho
Villagers alleged that police failed to act despite receiving complaints about Nagaraju's violent behaviour over the past three days
Yadadri-Bhongir: A villager was killed in an attack by a man recently released from jail in Raghunathapuram village of Rajapet mandal on Saturday.
The victim, K. Yadagiri (35), suffered fatal head injuries after being assaulted by Nagaraju, another villager who had returned to the community four months ago after serving an eight-year life sentence. Nagaraju had been convicted in a separate case but was released after completing his term.
Villagers alleged that police failed to act despite receiving complaints about Nagaraju's violent behaviour over the past three days. They claimed Nagaraju, described as behaving like a psycho, had been attacking residents with sticks and stones.
Rajapet police have taken Nagaraju into custody and registered a case against him under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Further investigations are underway.
