Telangana: Mobile Breast Cancer Screening Unit Launched

Hyderabad: A mobile breast cancer screening unit was launched by Granules India Ltd, a pharmaceutical company, in Hyderabad on Wednesday, in collaboration with AIG Hospitals, Asian Medical Foundation and UC Breast Foundation. Called Breast Health Express, this mobile unit is equipped with cutting-edge mammography and ultrasound capabilities and facilities for essential health checks such as haemoglobin, blood pressure and glucose levels.

Speaking on this occasion, chairman of AIG Hospitals Dr D. Nageshwar Reddy said, "The collaboration stands as a remarkable example of how private sector partnerships can effectively address critical healthcare challenges. The Breast Health Express will play a crucial role in extending vital screening services to remote communities, ensuring that essential cancer detection reaches those who need it most."
