 Hyderabad: Health minister C. Damodar Rajanarsimha on Wednesday said that a task force will be set up to work for the betterment of medical education in the state.

"The aim is to provide quality doctors in the state. Efforts will be made so that Telangana is recognised as the best destination for health and medical education. Steps have been taken to provide better medical education in government and private medical colleges as well as dental colleges," he said during a meeting with the management, deans and principals of private medical colleges in the state.

On being asked whether the Arogyasri package rates can be revised, he informed them that the government has decided to introduce 65 central procedures and 98 additional procedures in Telangana in the Arogyasri scheme. "We have revised 25-30 per cent. It has gone to the Chief Minister’s approval once it is cleared, we will release a GO," he said.
