Musi flowing over low level bridge at Sangem

Yadadri-Bhongir: Musi river was flowing over a low level bridge at Sangem village of Valigonda mandal in the district on Wednesday following torrential rains in the state in the last couple of days.

Flow of water in Musi was increased significantly due to heavy rains in upper areas.
The over flowing of the musi river led to disruption of road connection between Bollepally and Sangem.
As a precautionary measure, the police setup barricades at both sides of the low level bridge not allowing the vehicles on Bollepally-Sangam road.
In view of increase in inflow, four crest gates of Musi project were lifted for one feet and releasing the water to the downstream. Inflows to the project was recorded as 6, 581 cusecs. The water level in Musi project reached 643 feet as against Full Tank Level of 645 feet.
