Telangana to Introduce New Regulations to Curb Road Accidents

 Hyderabad: Transport minister Ponnam Prabhakar announced that the state would introduce special regulations to reduce road accidents. Speaking at a meeting of the Transport Department Technical Officers Association, he stated that the reforms would be in line with the Central Motor Vehicle Act. Prabhakar said that along with tightening the law, the government aimed to also increase the revenue of the transport department. The minister revealed that between April and August, 6,916 driving licences were revoked due to traffic violations.
