Nalgonda:Minister for roads and buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Tuesday said Telangana would be made earthen roads free state in the country by laying of R&B panchayat raj roads to all villages and hamlets.

Laying foundation stone for a high level bridge at Pagidimarri of kanagal mandal, he reminded that Rs 600 crore was sanctioned by the state government for laying of new roads and development of R&B roads in the district. He said work of a high level bridge at Pagidimarri would be completed in 10 months.

He said the state cabinet approved the laying of 12,000 kilometers of R&B and panchayat raj roads in the state. These roads would be laid connecting villages and mandal headquarters and mandal headquarters-district headquarters.

He said an irrigation facility would be provided to one lakh acres through the Brahmana Vellamla project in three months. The works of SLBC tunnel would be resumed in two months after the arrival of machinery from the United States. He exuded confidence that works of the SLBC tunnel would be completed in two years.

He made it clear that there was no question of going back on the revival of Musi river by the state government.
