HYDERABAD: The Telangana government is yet to appoint full-time vice-chancellors (VCs) in state universities.
On May 22, the government appointed in-charge VCs in 12 universities, who were asked to continue until June 15. Later, the government issued another GO stating that the same VCs would continue until further orders.
The universities are keenly awaiting the appointment of full-time V-Cs. According to sources, the principal secretary of higher education has shortlisted eligible professors for the coveted post.
Meanwhile, several names are being considered for the post of V-C at Osmania University. They include Prof. G.V.
