Nizamabad: The Assembly elections and the byelection for the Nanded Parliament constituency in Maharashtra were conducted peacefully on Wednesday. Telugu-speaking voters in Maharashtra actively participated, while many migrant workers from Nizamabad district travelled back home to vote.

Speaking to Deccan Chronicle from Beed, Ravi, a dry cleaner from Nizamabad, said his family temporarily closed their shop to exercise their voting rights. "We returned home for three days to vote despite the intense political competition," he said.
Some candidates reportedly arranged transport for Maharashtra natives in Nizamabad to polling stations in districts like Nanded, Latur, Beed, and Osmanabad. Vote counting is scheduled for November 23, with migrant workers expected to return after Sunday.
