Hyderabad: Most parts of the state experienced a significant surge in temperatures on Wednesday, with several districts recording highs exceeding 45 degrees Celsius. This comes after weeks of relatively bearable weather.

Kondapur in Mancherial reported the highest temperature at 46.4°C, followed closely by Aswapuram in Bhadrachalam at 45.8°C, Kagaznagar in Kumurambheem at 45.7°C, Sugalmpalli in Peddapalli at 45.4°C, and Arli (T) in Adilabad at 45.2°C.

In Hyderabad, various circles reported soaring temperatures, with Circle-13 (Karwan) reaching 43.1°C at Tolichowki dalit bhavan, and Circle-21 (Chandanagar) recording 43°C at PJR stadium.

As the heat intensifies, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad has forecast a shift in weather patterns with rainfall expected across all six zones of the city on Saturday.

Light to moderate rainfall or thundershowers are anticipated, accompanied by a cloudy sky. The IMD predicted that Hyderabad’s temperature may drop to around 36°C on Friday, providing some respite from the heat. However, temperatures on Thursday are expected to remain high, ranging between 41 and 44°C. Despite the anticipated rainfall in Hyderabad, other districts in Telangana are not expected to see any significant precipitation in the coming days.

Meanwhile, the monsoon season is forecast to commence after June 6.
